Corporate Transparency Act

This post is to notify you of the recently enacted Federal law, called the Corporate Transparency Act, which applies to most business owners operating an entity such as a limited liability company, corporation, limited partnership or statutory trust.

On January 1, 2024, the Corporate Transparency Act became effective and requires that companies falling under the definition of a “reporting company” file information about their “beneficial owners” with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (“FinCEN”). To file such information, reporting companies can use the following link https://boiefiling.fincen.gov.

Additional information about whether your company is a “reporting company”, who the “beneficial owners” are, and when you need to file this information by can be found at the following website: https://www.fincen.gov/boi.

We are available to answer any questions you might have and provide guidance regarding such filings. Contact us by email at Info@plglawyer.com, or give our Florida office a call at (727) 781-5357, or our North Carolina Office at (704) 405-3956.
